MIGHTY HEALTHY X ETNIES PLUS

Streetwear kings Mighty Healthy team up with Etnies Plus and bang out two understated pieces that will have some MH cats scratching their heads. More known for their bold logo tees that commentate on the state of the hip hop and street game, Mighty Healthy have gone a new route and designed two classy kicks with the low-fi Guild silhouette and the Califas boot. With plenty of brushed and distressed leathers all wrapped up in two luscious earth tone colourways, they're both perfect for the colder climate about to hit the Northern Hemisphere. Check out more below in the press release! Thanks to Hypebeast for the additional images.

PRESS RELEASE

Etnies Plus is collaborating with Mighty Healthy on the Califas boot and Guild shoe for Spring 2011. Ray Mate, New Yorker and co-founder of Mighty Healthy, describes the collaboration. 'In order to reflect both etnies Plus and Mighty Healthy, we created a pack of shoes with two different purposes in mind. The Califas boot is designed for harsh winters, whereas the low top Guild takes a more dress-inspired approach. Each style has its own personality which can be dressed up or down depending on individual style.'

ASICS x OSHMAN’S (GEL YETI)

Although they are celebrating their 25th anniversary, Oshman's doesn't have a particularly huge profile outside of Japan. But that might change when word gets out about their Gel Yeti! The Yeti is a mythological creature said to inhabit the Himalayan region of Nepal and Tibet. Living up in the hills means you'd need a decent set of boots (with Gel inserts) and with ASICS' 'Easy on and off' lacing system, these Yetis would be just the thing for a burly beast with clumsy paws. They're definitely on the abominable side of life, but don't you know it, that's why we love Japan. As seen in Sneaker Freaker Issue 19.
