When “The Minneapolis Lakers moved to Los Angeles, where there are no lakes,” they kept their team name and winning tradition intact. Their latest victory was the Lake Show’s sixteenth chip, a resume only surpassed by the Boston Celtics team they just beat. Kobe Bryant moved from 8 to 24 a couple years back, and with 16 right in the middle, here’s a look at the Kobe ‘Banner’ Tee from Nike Basketball. This purple t-shirt features banners from each of the Lakers’ championships and will be available soon at NikeStore.com.

It looks as if the Nike Zoom Kobe V is going to spill over to the season following its original debut, much like the Zoom Kobe IV did the season prior. The V didn’t officially debut until very late in 2009, so until the release of Kobe VI (probably late in ‘10), Kobe should be rocking Kobe Vs for at least a month into the following season. This new colorway of Wolf Grey, Black, and Daring Red is set for an October release, although the color combo probably won’t see the hardwood because they don’t match the Lakers unis at all. Daring Red was the primary color used on the Nike Zoom Kobe V All-Star, so this October 2010 release is somewhat of an Away-Away colorway if that makes any sense (the All-Stars were already an “Away”). Continue reading for another look and expect these to hit Nike Basketball retailers like Foot Locker in a few a months.
