Brooklyn Projects x Nike SB Dunk High – “Reign In Blood” – Preview

Brooklyn Projects previews its upcoming collaboration alongside Nike SB, inspired by Slayer’s Reign In Blood album artwork.

Working with the Dunk High, the Los Angeles-based shop gave the shoes a brown suede treatment with a leather swoosh, toe and side panels as well as red accents and denim heels. The shoes still don’t have a set release date but there are rumored to only have been 814 pairs produced in total. Stay tuned for further looks and details on its release.

Nike SB – May 2011 Releases

Nike SB’s May 2011 Sneaker Collection is wrapping up quite nicely, with a number of old school favorites done with new school flavor.

Included in the drop is three sneakers from the Paul Rodriguez Collection, one of which brings back the famed Cali colorway. The new Dunk High Pro is also included, following the Green/Blue that were dropped in March. One of the standout members of the Nike SB May 2011 collection is the Brown Janoski Mid, as well as a low top version done in Cream/Gumsole.

Nike SB Dunk High – Cheech & Chong

Set as a Quickstrike release at select retailers, these will be hard to come by once you see what’s peeking under the tongue.

Other than the shoes with it’s simple look of white canvas with alternating varsity red detailing on the heel and a denim tongue, the toe reveals something special. The tip is designed to wear away to reveal a Green underside that represents the duo’s favorite indulgence. These are pretty rare but the pairs are definitely out there.

NikeiD Air Max 1 – “Space Jam” by REE

The Nike SB Dunk Low-Pro “Space Jam” has been making a lot of noise in the sneaker world as of late but now we have images of a pair of Nike iD Air Max 1s that are dressed in the same classic colorway.

Designed by REE, the shoes feature a crinkled patent leather / mesh combo on the upper, along with varsity royal accents on the inner lining and air max unit. Not to be left out is a while midsole, which also derives from the classic Air Jordan 11 – Space Jam. You can definitely agree that this is a mock up of both the original jordan and dunk.

Here is an interesting outlook on the recently released Space Jam dunk compared to the Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam”. The images presented show us another visual comparison of the two sneakers and how similar they really are. From the patent leather upper to the round laces to the blue highlights on the branding, the Nike SB Dunk Low Pro inherited all the right genes.

Nike SB Blazer CS – “Dual Swoosh”

Shown here is an upcoming Nike SB Blazer with dual theme of red and blue leather swooshes. Red on the outside and blue on the inner part of the shoe. Other than that, this latest Nike SB Blazer CS includes an all-grey suede upper and a white midsole. If you didn’t know, CS stands for Custom Series.

Nike SB Stefan Janoski Mid – White Leather

The Janoski SB’s returns in a new design and this time around that it comes crisp and clean. The Janoski Mid is composed of all white leather. The smooth white leather lays perfectly on the upper, accented by the black on the swoosh, inner lining and foxtail. According to Premier, the Janoksi Mid is this month’s Quickstrike, so act now before it’s too late.

Nike SB x Geoff McFetridge – Paper Dunk High

To commemorate and celebrate the skate-able art installation done by Skater, Lance Mountain and artist Geoff McFetridge in California, Nike SB produced a limited number of t-shirts and Nike SB shoes.

The first offering of specially packaged graphic tees feature designs by renowned street artists Neckface, Future, CR Stecyk III and skateboarder Lance Mountain. Most notably is the conception of the Paper Dunk High designed by Geoff McFetridge, which is composed from an original piece of the artist’s artwork. Limited to 24 unique pairs and displayed at MOCA’s retail shop, they will be auctioned on May 26, 2011 starting at $100.00 with all proceeds donated to the MOCA foundation.

The second offering of goods include a Blazer by Lance Mountain and t-shirts from the likes of artists Geoff McFetridge, CY Stecyk III, Aaron Reimer and Gusmano Cesaretti to be sold in June.

The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, (MOCA’s) “Art in the Streets” exhibit will continue to run until August 8, 2011.

Nike SB Dunk High – “Cheech & Chong”

Due on April 20 is an release of the following Nike SB offering.

Based on the Dunk High and taking inspirations from the iconic stoner duo of Cheech & Chong, the sneakers feature white canvas uppers with contrasting paisley bandanna patterns on the back of each shoe. Also, a stash pocket is located behind the tongue. Look out for the release next week through select Nike SB stockists.

Nike SB Dunk High Premium – Deep Burgundy | Aquamarine

Nike SB Dunks are set for a full release of new colorways thanks to the change of seasons.

Although not quite a warm colorway, Nike presents this Nike SB Dunk High Premium in deep burgundy and aquamarine. The upper of the sneaker is composed of deep burgundy in textured leather while an aquamarine suede swoosh encompasses off of it to finish off the color scheme. In addition with the aquamarine lining and white midsole, you have got yourself one premium release.

Expected availability is this coming May.
